Scott Virtes: Astronomy : PMDO Survey Short Period Variables

This list is sorted by Right Ascension.

• ID: I give stars from each survey I work with a unique ID. Since I'm in the middle of adding a ton of new targets, these numbers are a mess right now.
• GSC: usually the Guide Star Catalog (1.2) identifier; may also have a USNO A2.0 (U2) or USNO B1.0 (UB) identifier here.
• Red mag: the red magnitude. I've found that the PMDO camera's color response is similar to the USNO A2.0 red magnitudes, so these are given here.
• Data: this is a ranking of the types and quality of data I've found. It is in 3 parts: Image/Curve/PCurve, where:
  • Image: If I have tried to get a time-series image, I rate its quality here (A to F)
  • Curve: If I have tried to graph a light curve from PMDO data, I rate its quality here (A to F)
  • PCurve: If Steve has a light curve on the PMDO website, I rate its quality here (A to F), or N for stars not on his list yet

Now, the curve ratings are subjective, but here's my guideline:

• A = good density of points, at least one full cycle clearly shown
• B = good density of points, most of a cycle shown
• B- = most of a cycle shown, needs more points
• C = a scatter with a suggestion of variation
• D = too few points
• F = no data at all - this can happen if the GSC entry is listed as a non-star, or for other reasons
